Austin Camerata presents its inaugural concert on Tuesday, April 25, at noon, at the Blanton Museum. Artistic Director Daniel Kopp (MM ’18), Cory Blais (MM ’19), Hyugrai “Ray” Kim (DMA ’19) and others will perform selections from the Bach Solo Cello Suites. Together with faculty and student dancers from the UT Department of Theatre and Dance, Austin Camerata will pair solo Bach with dance. Each selection will represent a different color on the color spectrum with dance styles ranging from ballet to contemporary to tap.
Founded in 2017, Austin Camerata is a festival that reimagines chamber music and reaches new audiences through unconventional concerts, artistic collaborations, and community engagements.
The concert is free to the public. For venue, parking and more information, visit www.austincamerata.com.
